Capability Building and Empowerment

CAPABILITY BUILDING AND EMPOWERMENT

In addition to supporting not-for-profits on the Mornington Peninsula with funding for activities and projects that create sustainable social change, we arrange sessions and mentoring to assist these organisations in building internal skills and capabilities.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

We will shortly be running some workshops for our grant recipients that will include sessions on grant seeking, governance and strategic planning. We work with our corporate partners to deliver these and will announce details soon. If you are interested in finding out more, email us at hello@georgehicksfoundation.org.au

CONNECTIONS

We love to facilitate linkages between corporate and community partners for specific projects. A good example of this would be our assistance of new organisations to develop a business plan so that a great idea has a rigorous framework within which to grow.

We try to make this a win win situation for all concerned. The engagements may take the form of either pro bono professional services, or, in some situations, the not-for-profit may use our funds to pay the corporate organisation for their services.
